In July 2004 Walhalla Goldfields Railway introduced it's 'on loan' Henschel steam locomotive Spirit of Baw Baw, into limited service and much to the delight of W G R's railway personnel, the haunting sound of steam was heard in Stringers Creek Gorge once again.
